An Icon from the Sixties

Whilst welcoming new modern additions, the new reissue retains characteristic design aspects from the original, Over-Pole Worldtimer.

The original design shines in the reissue with the instantly recognisable bezel with city names, classic red date-number at 3 o’clock and box-shaped glass. Rado, being a Master of Materials, has introduced new innovations in materials, designs and production techniques in the reissue. Updated with the brand’s latest technological features, we see the introduction of a black, polished high-tech-ceramic insert with laser engraving, for the city names, and the new glass is sapphire crystal, treated on both faces with anti-reflective coating.

The iconic compact 37mm case houses the manual wound calibre R862 with 80 hours power reserve and a state of the art Nivachron™ antimagnetic hairspring. This modern hairspring provides reliable performance and resistance to magnetic fields, allowing the new Over-Pole to exceed test requirements by five full points.

Rado proudly displays its action-ready manually-wound movement through the sapphire crystal back.

The screw-down case back also notes the limited availability of this watch with a special engraving of LIMITED EDITION XXXX/1962.
