CONSUMER PROTECTION deals with efforts to protect the safety of our foods (by regulating genetically modified foods for example), drugs (prescription and over-the-counter), etc. and the corporate vested interest in evading such protections; with gun control and the gun lobby; with efforts to exempt medical practitioners and manufacturers from liability for the effects of their faulty services/products.
